Loved In The Beloved: A Letter From God

Understanding God's love is one of the most fundamental part of our walk with Him.
Discover the depths of His love and unlock new levels of intimacy.

In my years of an in-depth walk with God, I have come to learn that love is the most foundational part. I am not referring to our love for God but rather understanding His love for us.

How much we enjoy our Christian walk, our ability to go through difficult times, our ability to prosper and get healed, or experience divine health all hinges on the depth of our understanding of His love for us. Not to sound redundant, but every good and perfect gift we have ever received and would ever receive depends on how much we understand His love for us.

Little wonder the primary thing the devil attacks in our lives is our perception of this love. In simpler terms, love is the target of every advance from the devil.

2 Timothy 1: 7 KJV

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Take a moment to ponder on the above verse. The contrast is not between fear and boldness, but rather fear and love.

What does fear have to do with love?

First, let us take a look at fear.

Though fear is a spirit that manifests in different forms and shapes, at its root, it is a manifestation of the anticipation of evil.

The individual who gets a negative report from the doctor gets worried and sad because he (based on the information) is expecting evil. He anticipates death, inability to care for loved ones or live life as before, etc. The sick or unwealthy has a sad countenance because he (judging by what he sees) is anticipating evil.

Now the scriptures say, a happy heart is good medicine, and a joyful mind causes healing; but a broken spirit dries up the bones (Proverbs 17: 22 AMP). Thus, whatever affects your joy affects your future. Sometimes unforeseen events happen, but it is our response that determines the outcome.

Take a leaf out of the Apostle Paul's book. He was one of the most successful men of his days (as regards the pursuit of purpose). Despite his experiences, Paul had an upbeat attitude to life. I believe his joy resulted in his success; for the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8: 10 KJV).

Proverbs 18: 14 MSG

A healthy spirit conquers adversity, but what can you do when the spirit is crushed?

What then was the secret to His joy and strength? Yes! It was his understanding of how beloved he is.

Romans 8: 34 - 39 TLB

35 Who then can ever keep Christ’s love from us? When we have trouble or calamity, when we are hunted down or destroyed, is it because he doesn’t love us anymore? And if we are hungry or penniless or in danger or threatened with death, has God deserted us?

36 No, for the Scriptures tell us that for his sake we must be ready to face death at every moment of the day—we are like sheep awaiting slaughter;

37 but despite all this, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us.

38 For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels won’t, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God’s love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow,

39 or where we are—high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean—nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when he died for us.

When we understand how loved we are, we are resilient. We always expect something good and are full of hope, and this hope will never disappoint us. We know this because God has poured out his love to fill our hearts through the Holy Spirit he gave us (Romans 5:5 ERV)

Our Father dictated this love letter (and asked that I publish it) to help you understand how much He loves, values and trust you. More importantly, He also wants to show you how to enjoy the beauty of His love.

You are about to dive into the river of God's love! Be prepared to be soaked!
