Before we get you saved, baptized in the Holy Spirit and on fire for God, permit us to share with you a few basic things you need to know about salvation and the new life in Christ.
THE UNTOLD TRUTH ABOUT SALVATION
Salvation is far greater than words can describe, hence we’ll only focus on five (5) major truths about salvation
Salvation is returning to the image of God as it was at the beginning and living in that reality.
After the fall of man*, all the children of Adam were born in the image of Adam (and no more of God) – including you, i.e. until you experience salvation (Genesis 5: 1-3).
Hence salvation is living in the fullness of the greatness of God! (1 John 4: 17B, John 10: 33-34; 12: 12)
Salvation is a re-creation
Once you experience the power of salvation, you are no longer the same person as the old you (2 Corinthians 5:17). You have no connection whatsoever with the “you” that existed before salvation (Galatians 2:20).
Your life, mind, heart, and Spirit are all changed at salvation (Ezekiel 36:25 – 27, 1 Corinthians 2:16) and you are set free from the consequences of your past actions. (Romans 8: 33-34).
Salvation is a translation
You are translated from the earthly realm to the heavenly realm at salvation. This means that you have no connections to this world (Colossians 1:13). You are made above the world and operate under a new rule of power (John 3:31, 1 John 4:4).
Just as every nation has its own constitution, rights and privileges, even so, at salvation, you receive a new constitution and rights to live by (Philippians 3:20, Ephesians 2:6)
Salvation is a call to ceaseless blessings
You are above all curses (Numbers 23: 23). Anything and everything that represents a curse is broken over your life (Galatians 3: 13-14).
You are free from whatever may be called a family curse, a generational curse or the like. You cannot be cursed after salvation; you walk only in ceaseless blessings (Genesis 12:3)
Salvation is an adoption to a new family
At the instance of salvation, you lose all connections/ties to your earthly family (2 Corinthians 5:16). Whatever flows in your family lineage ceases to flow through you - be it good or evil (Ephesians 2:19).
You now belong to the Vine (Jesus Christ) and show forth only His virtues (John 15: 1-5)
